Student discounts

You can use your card in the institute photocopying and printing facilities, for travel discounts (for full-time students in an Austudy approved course) and at participating retailers.

Students can also use their ID card to receive their student discount on course text books purchased at the bookshop on each campus.

If you are studying an Austudy approved course full time, you are eligible for transport concessions and your ID card will be endorsed with the Queensland Rail (QR) symbol.

Re-enrolling students

Your ID card is valid for institute use (eg. library borrowing) while you are enrolled in a Southbank Institute of Technology course (regardless of transport concession expiry date which is listed above the QR symbol on your ID card).

If your QR symbol has expired, to verify your continued eligibility for transport concessions, you must obtain a new ID card. An ID card reprint can be obtained from the Student Services Centre, or by phoning 13 72 48.
