Southbank Institute will send further information to you regarding your orientation and commencement date for 2009 in November.
STEP HUB will again open for school registration, student registration and expressions of interest for STEP 2010 on the 1 August 2009.
The following 2009 STEP diplomas have now closed for enrolment -
- Diploma of Fitness
- Diploma of Graphic Design (Group 1 and 2)
- Diploma of Nursing
- Diploma of Information Technology (website development)
- Diploma of Visual Arts (Group 1)
- Diploma of Interior Technology
- Diploma of Beauty Therapy
What is STEP?
In 2009, Southbank Institute will offer units within selected Diploma programs to school students in Years 11 and 12.
Students:
- will be offered an on-campus experience, integrating with current Southbank students
- will have the opportunity to complete an entire STEP Diploma post senior school, with a confirmed entry and credit into the Diploma they have been studying
STEP study is a part of a student’s high school curriculum and therefore credits toward their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
The majority of Diplomas offered will provide pathways and credit to university programs.
What is STEP HUB?
STEP HUB is the registration site for the STEP program. This site allows:
- Principals to register their school for STEP
- STEP Coordinators to manage their school’s STEP account
- Students to apply for an Expression of Interest pack regarding a STEP Diploma
